In 2019, Browns Foods listed their proudly South African Corn Dogs in one of South Africa’s largest retailers. During Nov 2020 – Feb 2021, the brand ran a launch campaign in 20 stores to create brand awareness by introducing their product (and brand) to shoppers through multiple in-store touch points, engaging with them throughout their path to purchase.
Till Posters, tactical Cross-Category Media installed at bread and bottled sauces, Entrance Screens, a Radio Retail ad and a Freezer Catcher at the product’s homesite were booked. Deploying these media elements across the store reinforced awareness from store entry to till point.
The campaign successfully increased sales and created awareness.
Corn Dogs have since listed nationally and are sold for at-home consumption in the Frozen Foods aisle as well as a quick on-the-go, ready-to-eat meal solution in retailer Delis.
